AC Thomas Announced as Official Sponsor of the 2020 Ft. Wayne Dance for All

The Ft. Wayne Dance for All is excited to announce AC Thomas as the official sponsor for the 2020 Ft. Wayne Dance for All Choreography Exhibition, the largest line dance choreography exhibition in the USA.  Four divisions are offered:  Beginner; Improver; Intermediate/Advanced; Phrased.  An Overall Winner will be awarded to the top choreographer entering three out of the four division.  First place choreographers in each division, as well as the overall winner, is awarded $100 cash plus other great prizes.

Mark you calendars for February 27th – March 1st for the 2020 Ft. Wayne Dance for All at the beautiful Grand Wayne Center in historic downtown Fort Wayne, IN. The Ft. Wayne Dance for All is a one-of-a-kind dance event that offers all levels of workshops in Line Dance, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Two-Step, Waltz, Hustle, Nightclub Two, Triple Two, and more. There are several specialty classes to enjoy: Dance Fitness, NTA, Choreography and Step Sheet Writing, T-Shirt Cutting and Design, Hi-Tech Djing. All workshops (except chartiy fundraiser) are included in your weekend pass.

The 2020 Ft. Wayne Dance for All charity is Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Fellow dancer, Letha Blackford raises money each year to participate in the 3-day Cancer Walk. Did you know…in 2019 it’s estimated in the US there will be 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 41,760 breast cancer deaths among woman and 2,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 500 breast cancer deaths among men. Susan G. Komen’s goal is to reduce current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% by 2026! Every dollar counts! Let’s dance to support this great cause.

Your donation provides funding for research aimed at finding new ways to detect, treat and prevent breast cancer, and to meet the most critical needs of those living with breast cancer. Net proceeds from the Charity Workshop and Chinese Auction go directly to Susan G. Komen. A special parade for survivors is planned and luminaries to remember friends and family lost to this terrible illness will be available for a $5 donation.

THE FT. WAYNE DANCE FOR ALL hosts the largest choreography exhibition in the United States. It’s known as the perfect “first time” opportunity to give choreography a try! Three divisions are offered: Beginner/Novice; Intermediate/Advanced; Phrased. Cash prizes awarded in each division and for one overall choreographer. Complete rules and details are available here.

All dances will be judged as one category.  No entry fees.  Dance step descriptions must be received by 5:00 pm (EST) on Friday, February 21, 2020.  No limit on how many songs you may use – choreograph to one or to all five!   The special exhibition is scheduled in the Main Ballroom of the Grand Wayne, on Friday afternoon, February 28, 2020 with Chad and Austin as guest judges.  Cash and other prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Additionally, there will be a “Hillbilly Shake” dance-off on Friday afternoon.
