The FT. WAYNE DANCE FOR ALL is the perfect event to get your
choreography noticed. In 2015, The Ft. Wayne Dance for All held the
largest choreography exhibition in the USA! Regardless of your
experience, invite friends to join you on the floor for a chance to
take home $500! Give it a try! Four divisions are offered:
Beginner; Improver; Intermediate/Advanced; and Phrased.
Choreographers receive FREE scores (by judging categories) and
comments. Choreography is scheduled on Friday afternoon.
The choreographer with the highest “OVERALL” score is invited to
teach at the 2017 Ft. Wayne Dance for All. For rules and details,
Team Exhibitions were a huge hit in 2015 so we’re bringing it back. Grab friends and show your stuff on Saturday afternoon. Remember, no judging…all for fun! Rules are: must have at least 3 dancers; teams must be pre-registered by 2/1/16; no music with foul language; only one performance; 5 minutes or less. Costumes and props are allowed! We encourage teams to spread a little spirit throughout the weekend! Use your imagination and get everyone cheering for you!
The FT. WAYNE DANCE FOR ALL is known for its Saturday night entertainment. FOOTLOOSE IN FT. WAYNE will not disappoint! Do Ren, Ariel, and Willard convince Reverend Moore to allow a senior prom? Who wins at chicken in the tractor race? Does Willard finally learn how to dance? Can Ren win over the city council to allow dancing and rock music to return to Ft. Wayne? Does Vi convince the Reverend that he’s wrong? You will have to come get the answers for yourselves. We all believe that: “But my right to dance…when I want, where I want, and how I want is a right that you cannot take away. It is mine.”
Be sure to shop our vendors and participate in the Chinese Auction. Proceeds from the Chinese Auction and Sunday’s Charity Workshop go to the AIDS WALK of OH. Did you know that 1.2 million people in the USA are living with HIV and about 1 in 4 new HIV infections are among youth ages 13-24? Since the epidemic began, nearly 648,459 people with AIDS have died in the US. AIDS does not discriminate…we all need to work together to make the world a better place to dance!
